Want to learn to Scuba Dive? What do you have to do?
Firstly you will be invited to do a try dive in the pool and then
to come along to one of our club nights to meet and have a chat with some of
our members. If you decide that learning to dive is what you want to do, then you
will need to become a member of Lincs Divers. You will also need to join the
British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC); this gives you access to an internationally recognised diver training program, worldwide third party liability insurance
and free subscription to SCUBA magazine. Plus you will also need to purchase an
Ocean Diver Student Pack when you start your training.
Ways to pay:Full yearly payment in
cash or cheque. Or set up a Direct Debit in which the full BSAC payment plus
one tenth payment to Lincs Divers will be deducted in the first month and then
the remainder will be taken over the next nine months. The cost of your try
dive will be deducted from your first year fees.
The extra £20 charge in the first year is because the club
will loan you with the SCUBA equipment needed to complete your first
Qualification.(With the exception of a
wet or dry suit, these can be either hired from the dive centre you will be
training at or borrowed from a club member) Most people then go on to buy their
own equipment to suit their dive requirements.
